I am a professor at the University of Antioquia (Medellín-Colombia). In 2024, I completed my PhD, titled "The Mathematization of Cosmography in the Spanish Empire (1494-1598)", at the École normale supérieure-Paris and the University of Salamanca.
Previously, I was a Residential Fellow at the Linda Hall Library, Kansas-City, US, and I held the position of a visiting research fellow (DAAD) at the Chair of Philosophy and History of Science at the University of Bochum, Germany. I hold an MA in Education in Natural Sciences and a BA in Philosophy.

📌Excited to present "Cartografía en disputa: cosmógrafos y pilotos en el Imperio español" at the University of Antioquia. This talk explores nautical knowledge, epistemological tensions, and maps as instruments of power in the 16th century.
